I am sure everyone wants to own a “real” (You’ll soon know why I explicitly say “real”) Ferrari car but not everyone is so lucky. I am one of those not so lucky guys. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to own a “real” Ferrari car, so I thought lets start collecting some Ferrari limited edition products. This, I thought will atleast give me some sense of satisfaction. So here’s what I got from various Ferrari show rooms while I travelled.
Finally, I did what I wanted to do for long. Got myself a new home – mithin.in. Both mithin.com and mithin.net were not available and therefore I had to be content with this. Its been a month since I quit my job and became a freelance developer. I am enjoying every bit of it. Now, I have time to read, to write and some time for exercise too. So lets see if I keep posting stuff here or not. Stay tuned!!
Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera and now Chrome. With so many choices for the user, the browser market is competitive more than ever. Chrome is from none other than the search giant Google which means its no nonsense. After using it for about a week now, I think there are some really simple and cool features.
TortoiseSVN supports all subversion protocols including svn+ssh. Its really very simple to execute all the SVN commands using TortoiseSVN. Though there are enough documents covering server side configurations (Installing subversion, OpenSSH Installation, key generation etc) in depth, there is not much on what needs to be done on the client side when it comes to svn+ssh using TortoiseSVN. Its an easy 3 step process.
Whenever I get funds transferred from foreign banks to my bank account, I get a call from my bank asking for the reason why am I getting foreign exchange. I, then have to explain them that I am getting this from my client for whom I did some software development.
Recently, PayPal added a new feature using which I can transfer my PayPal balance directly to my Indian bank account. I thought it was really cool of PayPal to add this feature and this would make both my client’s and my life easier. Therefore, this time I asked my client to send me the money through PayPal. I got the money into my PayPal account and then I used the new feature to get the money into my bank account. After 3-4 days I got the money into my account, but this time I never got a call from my bank. I was wondering why and then decided to find it out.
