The new version of Opera, Opera 9(beta) has been released. Some think that with this release the real browser was has begun and some think its cool. It's definitely cool and probably will be the best when its officially out. One real cool feature that fascinated me was the concept of widgets.

Like Dashboard widgets in Mac, Opera has something called opera widgets. Also, users can create their own widgets using javascript, CSS and HTML. This feature is really cool for just one reason – the widgets that users create can look as rich as the dashboard widgets. Therefore, I decided to try this stuff and create a widget of my own.

I decided to make a widgets which will read news from BBC and display it on the widget. This is what I landed up with.
